Unfortunately, the only significant change between these difficulties is just that blocks have much higher damage levels (i.e., making them damage sponges). Now, there are several mini-games that are usually the parts of the game I play now that I’ve finished all the levels at all difficulties. If you enjoy playing these mini-games (fishing, endless mode, etc.), then you can keep playing almost indefinitely.

Overall, I like the concept this game is going for, but the variety of content isn’t that great. Granted, it’s developed by a single individual, so I don’t expect too much here. In fact, it’s neat to see the development in near real-time as updates are pushed out and certain abilities are tweaked. Even with some of these extremely grindy achievements, I’m not sure I’ll play long enough to get 100% on this game. Still, it’s easy to just open up the game and play a few rounds when I’m bored or out and about. After all, grinding in an RPG is suited for small spurts like that.

An interesting genre combo but lacking endgame content, I give Bricks Breaker RPG 3.0 stars out of 5.

    1/2

Bricks Breaker RPGYear: 2025Rating: ETime Played: ~20 hours While Breakout is a fairly typical game for mobile phones (even being available on Blackberry back in the day), the upgrade system in this game made it feel more like a roguelike where you’re lucky to get through a run because of the drops that randomly appear.
